Series 24, Episode 12

This episode ET is with Wizz and Pete fishing the sandflats and close inshore drop-offs at Kgari – Fraser Island.  But they aren’t chasing the usual Hervey Bay pelagic or bottom dwellers.  They’re hunting Black Marlin as they travel south from their Northern Coral Sea birthplace. During this journey the juvenile black marlin chase baitfish in the fish rich shallow waters of Northwestern Hervey Bay.  Instead of trolling surface baits or skirted lures to catch them, they use a Canon downrigger to tow large lures deeper in the water column. The marlin can’t resist.

Then ET undertakes a successful Brisbane Water mulloway expedition in his Hobie. Only this time during the dark of night.
