Albany Island Doughboy Camp:
Andrew Ettingshausen takes a long air trek almost 950 kilometres north of Cairns to remote Albany Island, just off the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula. Then he takes another 75 sea mile boat trek down the cape’s west coast to the even more remote Doughboy River, where he and his CY Charters crew set up camp. From here they’ll spend glorious days fishing almost untouched waters, and laidback nights with the day’s catch cooked by a 5 star French chef! On the catching and cooking menu there’s a ton of tropical Tuna, plus Trevally, and a kaleidoscope of colourful reefies, including the well-named Bluebone Fish. And elsewhere in Queensland, ET’s still among the big reefies out wide from Keppel Bay.
